SPICY ORANGE MARMALADE - 4OZ
Fresh juice oranges are stewed together with hand-muddled fennel seed and a healthy dash of red pepper flakes. Smooth & mellow fennel and piquant oranges hit your palate first giving a gentle taste of honey. The red pepper flakes follow up to leave you with a bright touch of heat. This marmalade simple in design but packed with complex flavors. As with all of our marmalade the whole fruit is used; seeds may possibly occur. This is a medium cut marmalade. Ingredients: Oranges, Lemons, Sugar, Fennel Seed, Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Spicy Roasted & Glazed Brussel Sprouts
1 ½ lbs Brussel Sprouts
3tbs olive oil
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbs Spicy Orange Marmalade (or more to taste)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut sprouts in half lengthwise. Mix them in a bowl with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Pour them on a sheet pan, cut face side down and roast for 35 to 40 minutes, until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Shake the pan from time to time to brown the sprouts evenly. Once out of the oven place sprouts in a large bowl, add the Spicy Orange Marmalade and toss to evenly coat adding more salt & marmalade to taste.
